Law Reform Commission to be re-established next year
August 12, 2023Fiji’s Chief Justice Anthony Gates says he is a bit disappointed the parliament has no constituency seats.
According to the Fiji Times, Justice Gates made the comment in a submission to the Justice, Law and Human Rights Committee on the Code of Conduct Bill.

Justice Gates said having a constituency would mean MPs returning to their seats to seek feedback from their constituents.
He said there was a danger those elected forget about their constituents.
Justice Gates said much could be learnt from listening to what people have to say.
